Wellington Railway Station was completed in 1937, but in the manner of things in New Zealand it feels like the project had been running a while before then, picking up ideas as it went along. In this case that means most of the grandeur feels more 1920s than 1930s – though there are a few touches of Art Deco in some of the detailing.
