Not just one hand-operated butter churn but two! The tiny town of Geraldine is a great stop if you’re taking the scenic route from Christchurch to Tekapo and getting just a little tired of blue skies, green fields, and black and white cows. The cafe is uninspiring but the museum is quite jolly, so all the pictures here are from Geraldine Museum apart from the last – which, as usual, is the grandest building in town and was formerly the Bank of New Zealand.
