New Brighton has, or used to have, a reputation as a run-down seaside resort with a bit of crime and social desperation. I can’t say I’ve seen that, though I’ll admit all I’ve done is come in, photographed the beautiful new pier. and then gone away again. But it looks rather nice to me.
