It’s basically just a small house that got overlooked by developers, but Nairn Street Cottage gives us a glimpse into historic Wellington. And it’s a bit down-market from Katherine Mansfield’s house, so it’s interesting to visit both.
What seems to be missing here is all the chaos, muddle and people who presumably passed through over the years – I can’t believe it was ever this tidy or this empty!
